Had I not already had the 280mm ROG AiO I would get a couple degrees slashed off the CPU temp if I had the radiator mounted on the side panel exhausting that swampy air, with fresh air intake fans on the front. But the smaller case demands some fairly serious attention to getting air in and out in the right manner. It's a shit load of cooling fans for the relative lack of overall hardware needs. There are also 3, 120mm Uni AL's on top and an additional 120mm Uni AL at the back set up as exhaust.

The side panel has 2, 120mm Uni AL's running as exhaust. I drilled some extra holes just to fit 3, of the new 120mm Uni SL Infinity fans as the only other intakes on the bottom. While CPU is cooled by an Asus 280mm set up as the front intake. Rendering an entire planet's worth of assets will put the GPU into that damn near 85c and beyond range but heavy gaming can't push it over the mid 70's. Idles at about 46c for the Ryzen and under a totally maxed benchmark load it hits 84c. Under heavy loads the ROG Strix 3080ti and 5800X never get hot enough to even blink at.

My daily driver lives in a Lian Li 011 Air Mini. Check the FedEx and UPS auctions for cases if yer building on the cheap or want a NAS in a more "typical" case.

Tons of Fractal folks here! My second PC lives in a Meshify 2 that I got a smokin deal on because of freight damage. Some cheap cases may crackle while being moved, if a bad fan or an HDD installed. If you have one in your PC, check if it will fit.

DO NOT buy a case with PSU place at the top. If you have RGB in your rig, consider buying a neutral-color (black, white, gray) case. Cases with normal filters costs remarkably more. Many of them (especially in cheap PC cases) reduces the airflow so that is a controversal thing. If you don't want to clean your PC every month, you need to have good air filters in it. Some expensive cases have good-quality fans (like Be quiet). Big ones are silent but cannot give you enough airflow so do not buy something like 190mm fans. The bigger your case is, the better cooling will it provide (in most of the cases). There are some genelar recommendations for the case.
